About the role
The Head of IT & Operations is responsible for overseeing the management of the IT Services, IT Operations, and Release/Change Management departments, as well as driving the strategic direction of the IT department to ensure that all technical and operational objectives are met. The successful candidate will possess a hands-on approach to managing the production infrastructure and will have experience with hybrid cloud environments, with a focus on utilizing the Google Cloud Platform for the majority of our services. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and vendors, leading and developing a team of IT professionals, and collaborating with senior leadership to identify and address IT needs and opportunities for business growth.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing the development and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, implementing new technologies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to team members and demonstrating a strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on the business. To be successful in this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology, and have several years of relevant experience in a leadership role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of IT professionals, including DevOps and SRE team.
- Managing and maintaining our technology stack, which includes Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native services, Load Balancers, Kubernetes, Cloudflare.
- Partner with the security function to ensure, security technology services, compliance standards and processes are met
- Ensuring the availability and integrity of our systems and data.
- Managing and maintaining on-premise data centers.
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure a smooth operation of IT systems and processes.
Key Skills
- Experience working with DevOps and SRE teams.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, including GitLab and Terraform.

- Experience with tools such as Harbor, Nexus, and Artifactory.
